About
UniversalAndroidDebloaterGUI connects a non-rooted Android device to a Windows computer through ADB and provides a graphical way to manage unwanted software. It can remove or disable selected apps, helping users clean up an Android installation without obtaining root access. Its stated aims include improving device privacy, security, and battery life.
Rather than entering ADB commands in a terminal, users choose debloating actions through the desktop interface. ADB handles communication with the Android device while the GUI presents the available management options. Written in Rust, this cross-platform project is published by 0x192 and targets Windows x64 systems in this release.
The program suits Windows users who prefer a desktop interface for ADB-based Android management. The working setup consists of an Android device, an ADB connection, and a compatible Windows computer. It is particularly useful when unwanted software needs to be removed or disabled without modifying the device through root access.
Version 0.5.1 can fetch app-related changes directly as a JSON debloat list from GitHub, so those updates do not require a new UAD version; related edits can be followed through commits marked [Pkg]. The release keeps an app highlighted after it is clicked, supports multiple entries in dependency information even though that capability is not yet visible in the interface, and fixes the screen that could remain stuck while downloading UAD lists. It also corrects a typo in the noseflupdate release name and updates the project’s dependencies.
