Untracker

Untracker is an open-source Android app for removing tracking information from links before they are shared. It is intended for people who want to clean links during ordinary sharing or copying workflows. The app fits the Internet & Browsers category because it works with web links and their associated tracking information.

When sharing a link, users can send it to Untracker through Android’s sharesheet. Untracker removes tracking information, after which the cleaned link can be copied or shared again. This provides a direct step between receiving a link and passing it to another person or service.

The app also supports selecting text and choosing Untrack from the selection toolbar. It can remove tracking information from the selected content and replace it. This option is suited to links encountered as text when using the sharesheet is not the chosen workflow.

Untracker includes rule management, allowing users to control or add rules for removing tracking information with JavaScript code. These rules provide the app’s configurable method for determining what tracking information to remove.
