Pass a link through URLSanitizer to remove unwanted tracking parameters from its GET query before the address reaches another application or recipient. It cleans URLs that contain query entries used to track clicks, leaving the destination link ready for the action you originally intended. The cleaned address can then be handed off for opening or sharing.

When opening a link, choose URLSanitizer first, then select the application that should handle the sanitized result. For sharing, send the link to URLSanitizer before choosing the app or destination that will receive the revised URL. This intermediate workflow lets Android users apply the same cleanup when links arrive from other apps or are being passed onward.

The app can also add query entries that are not present: enter the desired query in URLSanitizer and select Add Entry. Wildcard patterns are supported from version 1.3.0 onward, and the default entries demonstrate how those patterns can be used. Internally, URLSanitizer reads links from Android opening or sharing intents, edits the URL, and issues a new intent for the same action.

URLSanitizer is open-source software for Android users who regularly exchange links between applications. Current version 3.0.4 requires Android 6.0 or later and uses Universal architecture.
