About

Scan a drive with WizTree to see which files and folders consume space, then identify the largest items quickly. Its visual treemap represents file and folder sizes proportionally, making space hogs easy to spot before removing them. The results suit anyone clearing a crowded disk, investigating unexpected usage, or managing storage on local and network volumes. WizTree can also show file details and export them to CSV for later analysis or record-keeping.

On NTFS drives, WizTree reads the Master File Table directly rather than relying on the usual Windows scanning process, producing results in seconds. It can also scan non-NTFS drives and network drives, and it counts hard-linked files correctly instead of charging their size more than once. The reported total allocated space therefore matches the figure Windows reports for the drive. Developed by Antibody Software, version 4.33 runs on x64 Windows systems.

This release adds compatibility with CSV files created by WizTreeMac, including macOS’s doubled-quote escaping for filenames such as Say "Hello".txt and correct importing of the macOS root folder. WizTreeMac 1.00 is now available for macOS 12 or later and includes most of the functionality found in WizTree 4.33. The startup screen now explains that the program is ready to scan, missing translations were updated, and copy and cut operations in the file-renaming text box were fixed.
