Word by Word Game: Adventure3.3.3+60

Enter a word and guide a hot-air balloon through an RPG-like adventure by choosing a new word whose first letters match the last three letters of the previous one. Each level challenges you to create distinct word chains and travel as far as possible, turning vocabulary practice into an active game rather than a static exercise.

Word by Word Game: Adventure, published by X Soul Space, checks entries against both Russian and English dictionaries. When a valid word is missing, you can add it to the dictionary, helping the game accommodate vocabulary encountered during play. Two people can share one device for collaborative or competitive word sessions.

Changing weather is generated for each session and can alter the balloon’s journey, from collisions with trees to stretches of drifting above a mountain. Pausing through the central menu button saves the current progress so the same session can be resumed later. The word-chain format also exposes players to unfamiliar words while they play, making it suitable for learners, families, and shared educational activities.

This open-source Linux education game requires snapd and runs on x86_64 (amd64) systems; its current version is 3.3.3+60. It remains in active development, so its available features may change as work continues.
