Work Profile VPN Switcher1.1.1

Disable the Android work profile automatically when a VPN connects, keeping work-profile applications from running through that tunnel. Work Profile VPN Switcher monitors that connection and can restore the profile to the state it had before the VPN started when the connection ends. It can also enforce the reverse rule: if the profile is enabled manually while a VPN is still active, it disables the profile again.

An allowlist mode watches only chosen VPN applications, while denylist mode watches every VPN connection except excluded apps, including configurations using AdGuard. Background polling supplies a fallback on devices where Android suppresses network events. Its interface is available in English and Russian.

Version 1.1.1 is open-source Android software in the System Tools category, built for Universal architecture and requiring Android 11 or later. It needs a configured work profile created with Shelter or a similar application, plus the MODIFY_QUIET_MODE permission granted manually through ADB with adb shell pm grant io.github.snood21.workprofilevpnswitcher android.permission.MODIFY_QUIET_MODE. A clean reinstall requires that permission to be granted again, while regular updates retain it. If switching fails, enable Background polling in Advanced settings and allow autostart with battery mode set to No restrictions.

The current release corrects VPN detection through NetworkCallback by removing the incorrect NET_CAPABILITY_NOT_VPN requirement, and it disables automatic application-data backup. It also notifies the user when enabling the profile is attempted while the screen is locked, then enables it at the first unlock, alongside minor fixes and stability improvements.
