Yango Lite: light taxi app

Use Yango Lite to request a taxi from an Android device and get around the city through a compact ride-hailing app. At about 20 MB, it occupies nearly ten times less storage than the well-known Yango taxi app, which suits devices with limited space. It works over any internet connection, including 2G and weak mobile signals.

Choose Start for short taxi trips, Economy for an affordable car, or Comfort for a more comfortable ride. Delivery lets you send and receive items from businesses, friends, and family, while Fastest locates the closest available taxi when the service class is not important. During the journey, a live view shows the driver’s current location and route.

Yango Lite is compatible with all devices and offers the same savings as the larger Yango app, making it useful for everyday city travel and local deliveries. The service operates mobility and delivery aggregators in 19 countries, including Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Senegal, and Zambia. It is published by WIND Mobility for Android and carries a free license.

Yango Lite is an informational service, while transportation is provided by third-party taxi and transport companies. Feedback about the app or a specific taxi company can be submitted through the form at yango.com/en_gh/support/?lang=en.

Free to use — a paid version with additional features is also available.
