Aard 20.58

Look up word meanings and related dictionary information on an Android device without an internet connection with Aard 2. It provides an offline reference for readers, writers, language learners, and anyone who regularly checks written language. As the successor to AardDict for Android, it continues that dictionary-focused use while presenting its functions through a redesigned interface.

The revised interface offers a different way to move through dictionary content and reference features. Bookmarks let you save selected entries for later consultation, while the history records previously viewed content so you can return to earlier lookups. A revised dictionary storage format is also part of the updated application. These features suit quick word checks during reading, drafting, study, or language practice.

Aard 2 is open-source, allowing the software to be studied, shared, and modified under its license terms. Current version 0.58 supports Android 4.4 and later and uses Universal architecture. Its Android implementation places dictionary reference work directly within the mobile software environment, with offline access useful when an immediate connection is unavailable.
