Ableton Live Lite12.4.15

Create, edit, record, produce, and perform songs on a Mac with Ableton Live Lite, a sound and music editor built for hands-on music and audio work. Its core capabilities let musicians shape recorded sound and develop original material from initial ideas through finished performances. It suits songwriters, producers, and performers working at home, in rehearsal, or on stage.

The current 12.4.6 release runs on macOS 11 Big Sur or later and supports both Intel processors and Apple Silicon. Ableton also lists Windows 10 version 22H2 and Windows 11 version 22H2 or later, with a fifth-generation Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen processor whose CPU supports AVX2; Windows use with Link calls for ASIO-compatible audio hardware. A Core Audio-compliant audio interface is recommended on Mac, while authorization requires an internet connection; a fast connection is recommended for additional content and Live updates. The basic installation uses about 3 GB of system-drive space, 8 GB free is recommended, and optional sound content can require up to 76 GB.

Live Lite is distributed under a freeware license, and its license does not expire. Authorization uses a valid Live Lite serial number and an Ableton account. Serials accompany certain hardware devices and apps, with hardware serials supplied after manufacturer registration or in the product packaging, and Live Lite is not sold separately. Owners of earlier Live Lite versions can upgrade to 12.4.7 for free without obtaining another serial, while Ableton Note users can access Live Lite through the app’s Settings menu.
