Ableton Live Standard12.4.15

Create, edit, arrange, and perform sound and music on Mac computers with Ableton Live Standard, which combines production and performance work in one editor. It suits musicians, producers, and other audio creators who are developing tracks, shaping recorded material, or preparing ideas for performance.

MIDI Transformations apply simple or complex variations to clips, including ornaments, articulations, acceleration and deceleration curves, connected notes and chords, and guitar-like strumming. MIDI Generators can produce melodies, chords, and rhythms within constraints, giving you material to refine into your own compositions. Keyboard and mouse editing tools can split notes, divide them into several parts, join selected notes, or fill a chosen time range, while the Note Utilities panel adds Fit to Scale, Humanize, and Add Intervals. Live also supports alternative tuning systems beyond 12-tone equal temperament across its devices and MPE-capable plugins or hardware, with scales that can govern generated ideas or synchronize MIDI instruments to the playing clip.

Max for Live Transformations and Generators extend MIDI work, and users can build their own devices for deeper control. New instruments and effects provide additional sounds and textures to explore. Live 12.4 adds Link Audio, updated devices, and other workflow changes as a free update for Live 12 users. The current 12.4.6 release runs on macOS with Intel or Apple Silicon architecture, and it is distributed as freeware.
