About
AboutMyDevice: See device info is a Linux system utility that presents a readable snapshot of the machine and operating system. It reads values live from the local system, so the displayed information reflects the current device when it is refreshed. It is intended for people who need to inspect hardware and OS details without sending that information elsewhere.
The app organizes its information into five sections: SOC, Network, System, Battery, and Display. SOC covers architecture, kernel and user-space bitness, processor and active CPU counts, vendor and model, clock speed, CPU family, model, stepping, microcode, cache size, address sizes, BogoMIPS, and CPU feature flags. Network shows interfaces, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, link-local and loopback addresses, the local hostname, and a built-in test for latency, download, and upload speed. System includes distribution and pretty name, version and codename, kernel name and version, locale, time zone, memory, and storage usage, while Battery reports charge level, state, and battery saver status on supported hardware, and Display reports logical and physical size, pixel ratio, orientation, and system appearance.
For desktop use, sections can be opened by clicking or navigated by swiping. Users can reorder sections, and that layout persists across launches, copy a section to the clipboard in one click, and refresh the values at any time. Light and dark mode are available, and the app is designed so that information does not leave the device, with no accounts, tracking, or data collection.
AboutMyDevice belongs to the Linux System Tools category and is distributed under a commercial license. MirrorNest links directly to the official release rather than hosting a mirrored copy, giving Linux users a catalog entry that points to the official release location.
