About
atomic-social lets you follow a Bluesky timeline and respond to posts from a desktop interface. It connects to Bluesky through the AT Protocol, the network model that supports its social features. The timeline presents posts for reading, while the client also shows notifications about activity relevant to your account.
You can publish posts, like other users’ content, and repost material without leaving the application. These functions cover the everyday cycle of reading updates, responding to them, and sharing them with your Bluesky network. As a communication client, it suits people who prefer handling Bluesky conversations from a Linux environment. Nathaniel Knudsen publishes atomic-social as open-source software.
Its AtmoCore model layer is shared with the related macOS, iOS, and watchOS applications, giving the Linux client the same underlying model layer used across those versions. The current version is 4cbbbde. It runs on Linux with snapd and targets x86_64, also known as amd64.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: x86_64 (amd64)
