Store passwords in one protected place and retrieve them when signing in to online accounts, instead of keeping track of separate credentials manually. AuthPass can create secure random passwords for new accounts, help you keep track of web logins, and locate saved entries when needed. As a standalone password manager, it reads the established KeePass format in both kdbx 3.x and kdbx 4.x versions, allowing existing vaults to remain usable.

Multiple password files can be open at once, such as separate work and personal vaults or files shared with coworkers. Vaults stay in the open KeePass format at a location you choose, and AuthPass does not send passwords to its servers. Storage options include Android local content providers, native Google Drive, Dropbox, WebDAV for your own NextCloud, OwnCloud, or similar service, and native Microsoft OneDrive integration.

The app is available for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Linux, and Windows, making it useful for people who move between computers and mobile devices or collaborate around shared vaults. A dark theme changes the viewing experience, while the absence of ads, subscriptions, artificial feature restrictions, and required payments keeps the feature set available without those interruptions.

AuthPass 1.9.6_1904 is open-source Security & Privacy software for Linux. It remains under active development, and contributions are welcomed from developers, translators, documentation writers, and UI designers; users can also send feedback by email, through the issue tracker, or in the Discord community.
