gori lets security testers inspect traffic traveling between a client and its target through an interactive terminal interface. Published by HAHWUL, it is a web proxy that can operate as a man-in-the-middle (MITM) and is written in Crystal. This makes it useful for examining requests, responses, and other exchanges during security testing.

The proxy understands HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, WebSocket, gRPC, and server-sent events (SSE). Its protocol coverage brings ordinary web traffic, newer HTTP connections, persistent sockets, RPC services, and streamed event traffic into one inspection workflow. It suits engagements where the client communicates with a target through several different protocols rather than only standard web requests.

Each operation is available through a gori run subcommand, giving command-oriented workflows a consistent way to invoke the program. The same operations are exposed as MCP tools, allowing scripts and AI agents to control an engagement through those interfaces as well.
