Baby Books0.9.2

Create picture books by searching Wikipedia and combining selected words and images into your own pages. Baby Books turns those search results into simple, subject-focused books about organisms, animals, plants, fungi, and other topics. You can begin a book, find related wiki pages, and add the material that fits each new page.

As the book grows, its text and images flow into a readable page layout rather than remaining as disconnected search results. This gives parents and children a shared way to explore a subject, organize information, and learn through making a book together. It also suits individuals who want to gather related reference material into a compact collection.

When a book is finished, Baby Books exports it as a PDF that can be emailed to someone else or printed as a physical book. Direct sharing between Android devices for remixing and improving books is planned, while PDF export is the current sharing method. The project is still in early development, with planned work including clearer Wikipedia attribution in PDFs, more intuitive swipe controls, and choosing preferred images from a wiki page.

Version 0.9.2 is an open-source Android release in the Reading & Writing category, requires Android 5.0 or later, and uses Universal architecture. This version updates the app’s target SDK to the latest version.
