Bibledit5.1.046

Bibledit lets Bible translation teams edit Scripture text on phones and other devices, with tools comparable to Paratext for mobile work. Version 5.1.046 runs on Android 6.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures. Teams can use Bibledit Cloud through the Internet without installing the software, or use the local Client edition when working offline.

The Client stores each member’s edits on the device and uploads them to the Cloud automatically when a connection becomes available. Editors can display scholarly translation resources beside the passage they are revising, while Consultation Notes give translators, consultants, and managers a place to discuss changes. Users can upload a Bible in any language for reference, and Bibledit keeps contributors’ translations synchronized through the Cloud.

A Paratext Bridge for Windows and Linux transfers Bible text in both directions between a local Paratext installation and Bibledit. Export tools produce web-ready HTML, formatted OpenOffice documents, and Sword modules for Bible-reading applications. These capabilities support teams working remotely or continuing translation while traveling, as well as groups whose members need coordinated editing from different locations.

Bibledit also runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, Chrome OS, and iOS, alongside its Cloud environment, and its open-source code can be adapted to particular circumstances. Most of the interface is translated into French, with Brazilian Portuguese at 29% and Indonesian at 19%, and further languages can be contributed.
