Bibleside0.3.1-alpha

Read Bible passages offline on an Android device with Bibleside, which provides reading and comparison tools centered on the Open English Translation (OET). It includes the OET Reader’s version, the OET literal version, and the King James Version (KJV), allowing readers to examine the same passages in different translations. The OET Reader’s and literal editions are intended to be used together, pairing a more readable presentation with a closer, literal rendering.

Multiple versions can be displayed together, and linked scrolling keeps corresponding passages aligned as you move through them. Adjustable text size supports more comfortable reading during personal study, group preparation, or detailed translation comparison. The OET is a new, open-licensed translation that remains in draft form, making Bibleside particularly relevant to readers exploring its development alongside the KJV.

The current 0.3.1-alpha release adds settings to show or hide chapter and verse markers and to toggle special markings for the OET literal version, alongside interface improvements and bug fixes. Bibleside is open-source and remains an alpha-stage project with further improvements and planned features, so users can provide feedback as it develops. It runs on Android 7.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, and x86_64 devices. Its Android build maintains a connection with the official Bibleside project.
