About

BlueSound Controller is an open-source Android application for controlling compatible audio players. It is listed in the System Tools category because it provides remote playback and player-management functions rather than serving as a standalone music library. The app is intended for Android households that already use BluOS or Sonos players and want a controller that operates locally.

Users can play, pause, stop, skip to the next item, and return to the previous item on a selected player. Volume controls update while they are being used, and playback information refreshes as the condition of the player changes. The app can open and play presets or favorites saved on the players. It also lets users switch between multiple players without leaving the app and group players for multi-room audio.

For supported combinations, radio streams can be transferred from Sonos to Sonos, from Sonos to BluOS, or from BluOS to BluOS. The available interface languages are English, German, and Swahili, and users can choose between light and dark themes. BlueSound Controller does not require a cloud account, and its communication stays on the local network.

MirrorNest distributes the official Android build directly from its own storage. The mirrored build is scanned for malware before it is published in the catalog. This gives the product a straightforward fit within MirrorNest’s Android System Tools section while preserving its open-source license and local-use focus.
