BlueSound Controller lets an Android phone control BluOS and Sonos multi-room audio players across the local network, giving households with these systems a direct way to manage playback. It handles remote player control rather than acting as a standalone music library, so it suits people who already keep compatible audio players in their rooms and want one controller. From a selected player, users can play, pause, stop, skip to the next item, or return to the previous item.

Volume adjustments update as they are made, while playback information refreshes when the player’s condition changes. Saved presets and favorites can be opened and played directly from the app. Users can switch among multiple players without leaving the controller and group players for synchronized multi-room listening.

For supported combinations, radio streams can move from Sonos to Sonos, Sonos to BluOS, or BluOS to BluOS. The interface is available in English, German, and Swahili, with light and dark themes for different viewing preferences. Communication stays on the local network, and the app does not require a cloud account.

BlueSound Controller is open-source Android software in the System Tools category, currently at version 1.0.3. It requires Android 5.0 or later and arm64-v8a architecture.
