About
Organize digital negatives in a database, browse the collection, and develop photographs from one connected workspace with Darktable. Its lighttable presents stored images in a zoomable view, allowing photographers to move through a collection and inspect pictures at different levels of detail. This combines collection management with visual review instead of separating browsing from image development.
The darkroom provides a workflow for developing raw photographs and applying enhancements during that process. Moving between the lighttable and darkroom links reviewing, developing, and refining images within the same photography workflow. It is suited to photographers working with digital collections who need to assess images and improve raw files in Linux.
Darktable is published by Sergio Schvezov under an open-source license and belongs to the Photo & Graphics category. The current 5.4.0 release requires Linux with snapd and targets x86_64 (amd64) hardware. Its central use is as both a virtual lighttable for inspecting photographs and a virtual darkroom for raw development.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: x86_64 (amd64)
