Diary

Write daily activities, ideas, and dreams in Diary, where entries are organized by date like a traditional journal. The text is saved on the device as plain files, which can be backed up to a ZIP archive or opened with other applications. Older entries can be browsed with incremental search.

Diary supports Markdown formatting, optional index pages and entry templates, selectable date-picker calendars, and optional control over the editing cursor position. It can display media from diary folders, add media from providers or other apps, receive geographic URIs, and show OpenStreetMap maps. Calendar events can be added from Diary or imported into it, while a widget can show today’s entry; editing is available in dark or light themes.

The Android app supports English, Catalan, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, German, French, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, and simplified Chinese. Version 1.105 prevents an empty diary folder and updates the icon. It requires Android 5.0 or later and uses a universal architecture.
