dosage retrieves the latest strip from a selected webcomic and keeps it in a local archive. It gives readers a focused way to preserve picture-based content from particular sites instead of repeatedly searching for it online. Alongside webcomics, it supports Picture of the Day sites and other recurring visual material.

From its command line, dosage can fetch the newest available item or catch up from the last strip it downloaded. When a site’s layout supports the feature, it can also retrieve a strip by a specific date or index. Advanced options and available commands can be examined with dosage --help.
