Use Ferdium to bring messaging and other frequently used services into one desktop workspace instead of handling each service in a separate window. It combines your favorite apps in a single interface and keeps their conversations accessible from one place. Ferdium is designed for Linux users who want a communication hub for everyday work, personal messaging, or both.

Workspaces let you arrange services by project, role, or context, while Ferdium Todos keeps a task list visible alongside them. The app supports a broad collection of services through community-built integrations, and its service setup is based on Franz while adding features and removing usage restrictions. An existing Franz account can be used with Ferdium so that users can continue with their established setup.

People moving from Ferdi can use the supplied PowerShell or UNIX shell migration scripts to carry their profile configuration into Ferdium. The interface can also be customized with a custom.css file in the Ferdium user-data directory, which on Linux is located under XDG_CONFIG_HOME or ~/.config.

Version 7.2.3 reduces work performed when switching services, avoids service-view clipping regressions, and prevents unnecessary layout, theme, cache-scan, and settings-write operations. Its service recipes add Primal, Photon, and Gather 2.0, expanding the integrations available to users. On Linux Wayland sessions, Electron now uses native Wayland by default; XWayland can be forced with --ozone-platform=x11, since ELECTRON_OZONE_PLATFORM_HINT is no longer supported. Ferdium is released under an open-source license.
