Fishing Funds8.2.3

Fishing Funds places real-time Chinese fund trends in the Linux menubar, letting users check current activity directly from the desktop. It also provides status-bar indicators for funds, broad market indexes, stocks, and cryptocurrencies. Information is collected from Tiantian Fund, Ant Fund, Aifund, Tencent Securities, and Sina Fund, giving users several data sources in one application.

A right-click menu supports importing and exporting fund configurations as JSON, which provides a practical way to back up and restore tracked selections. Its AI feature can recognize fund data from screenshots and import the results, provided the selected model has vision capabilities; GPT-4o, Grok4, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Qwen2.5-VL:32B, or stronger models are recommended. AI requests use an OpenAI-compatible interface configured under Settings > AI, including a request endpoint and API key, and the developer says those AI keys are not collected or uploaded. HTTP and SOCKS proxy connections are supported.

Built with Electron and published by 1zilc, Fishing Funds is aimed at people who follow Chinese funds from a desktop and want quick status-bar checks during market activity. The software has clients for macOS, Windows, and Linux, while the listed 8.2.3 build requires Linux with snapd and runs on x86_64 (amd64) systems. It is open-source, and development contributions through GitHub require an account there.
