Apply the Flat Remix visual style to GTK applications, replacing default controls and windows with a consistent, colorful desktop appearance. As system-tools software, flat-remix-gtk packages the Flat Remix GTK application theme for changing how Linux interfaces are rendered. Inspired by Material Design, it keeps surfaces mostly flat while using selected shadows, highlights, and gradients to add visual depth.

The snap contains the older themes from the previous Flat Remix GTK release alongside the newest edition, which is a complete redesign based on Skeuos code. Keeping both generations available lets users retain a familiar appearance or choose the redesigned style. The theme can be assigned to one application when only a particular program needs adjustment, or applied across GTK2 and GTK3 applications for a broader desktop treatment.

That integration requires the snap to have a plug for either gtk-3-themes or gtk-2-themes, according to the toolkit being themed. Version 20220527 targets x86_64 (amd64) Linux systems and requires snapd. It is open-source and suits Linux users who want to coordinate the appearance of GTK software, including people testing the newer design while preserving access to the older Flat Remix themes.
