About

Gifcurry is an open-source graphics tool for Linux that turns video material into edited GIFs or videos. It fits the Photo & Graphics category because its main purpose is to crop, annotate, and adjust visual content. The software is intended for users who need to prepare a selected part of a video as a shareable visual or a finished video file.

Users can crop the source video to keep only the area they want. They can add text and choose a font for that text during the editing process. Subtitles can also be imported as part of the workflow.

Gifcurry provides controls for changing the dimensions of the finished output. It also supports dithering when that treatment is appropriate for the result. After editing is complete, the output can be saved as either a GIF or a video.

MirrorNest distributes the official Linux build directly from its own storage rather than presenting an unrelated package. The mirrored build is scanned for malware before it is published. Its open-source license is identified before download, giving Linux users clear information about the software’s licensing and its place in the Photo & Graphics category.
