GitNote lets users read, write, and edit notes organized in a Git-backed collection on an Android device. It places notes in folders, giving people who maintain structured collections a repository-oriented way to work with them. Search can cover every available note or be limited to a particular folder. Grid view provides a broad overview, while tree view reveals the collection’s folder structure, and date-based sorting arranges notes by time.

An edit view provides the workspace for changing note contents without leaving the collection view. GitNote can synchronize notes with Git providers such as GitHub, linking the Android copy to the repository used as their source. Private repositories can be accessed through either SSH or HTTPS. These options suit people who keep notes in folders and need to move between an individual entry and the larger organized collection.

GitNote is open-source software for Android and requires Android 11 or later. It supports the arm64-v8a and x86_64 architectures. The current version is 26.10.2.
