Apply the Orchis visual style across a Linux desktop with gtk-theme-orchis, a GTK theme package developed by Erich Eickmeyer. It targets GNOME and other GTK-based environments, changing the appearance of supported desktop interfaces rather than providing a standalone application. The theme is useful for people who want a consistent Orchis design in their daily desktop session and in GTK applications.
After the theme components are installed, select the local Orchis theme through GNOME Tweaks. That selection also updates the Orchis theme exposed to snap applications, linking the desktop preference with their GTK styling. For a short period after installation, each snap must be connected manually through the GTK 3 themes interface so it can identify this theme.
The package runs on Linux, requires snapd, and is provided for x86_64 (amd64) systems. It is open-source and suits desktop users who already use GNOME Tweaks and snapped GTK applications. The current version is 2022-07-20.
