htop

htop is an open-source process viewer for Linux, included in the Utilities category. It is intended for users who need to inspect and manage processes from a text-based interface. Its ncurses-based design presents process information in an interactive list.

The process list can be scrolled vertically to view all processes and horizontally to inspect full command lines. htop also supports process actions such as terminating processes and changing their scheduling priority without requiring users to enter process IDs. As an optional part of its snap setup, it can connect to the kernel-module-observe and mount-observe plugs. The network-control plug can also be connected for DELAYACCT support.
