About
Bring an RPLIDAR unit into operation on Linux by running the Husarion RPLIDAR driver. After connecting the raw-USB, hardware-observe, and shared-memory interfaces, run the post-install setup, choose the LIDAR model, and start the driver.
The required model preset can be set for custom, A1, A2M7, A2M8, A2M12, A3, C1, S1, S1 TCP, S2, S2E, S3, or T1 devices. Driver settings cover serial, UDP, and TCP connections, including automatic serial-port detection, baud rate, network addresses, ports, and frame ID.
ROS settings include the domain ID, localhost-only mode, namespace, and DDS transport. Transport choices include UDP, shared memory, and built-in or named Fast DDS and Cyclone DDS options, with corresponding DDS configuration files available in the snap’s common directory. Husarion RPLIDAR is open-source software for x86_64 Linux systems using snapd; version 2.1.4-20260923 is published by Husarion.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: x86_64 (amd64)
