About
husarion-webui is an open-source Linux snap that provides web user interfaces for Lynx, Panther, ROSbot XL, and ROSbot 2 when they are running in Foxglove. It is intended for users working with these Husarion platforms through a browser-based interface. In the MirrorNest catalog, it is classified as a System Tools utility.
The snap includes a daemon that runs the web UI server, with husarion-webui.start and husarion-webui.stop apps for starting and stopping that service. The built-in server uses port 8080 by default, and its port can be changed through the webui.port parameter. The webui.layout parameter selects the interface layout, including layouts stored in /var/snap/husarion-webui/common/ and custom layouts created there. ROS settings include the domain ID, localhost-only mode, transport selection, and namespace for topics and transforms. These settings can be changed with snap set, including configuration of UDP, shared-memory, or other supported DDS transport options.
Files and scripts in /var/snap/husarion-webui/common/ support matching ROS 2 settings across related snaps and host-snap-Docker communication. MirrorNest mirrors the official build directly to its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing it. This makes the package available as a Linux System Tools download while retaining its open-source distribution model.
