influx

From a terminal, influx lets users interact with an InfluxDB installation through command-line commands. It is intended for database work conducted from shell sessions instead of through a graphical interface. The client keeps its role focused on providing command-line access to InfluxDB.

Operators, developers, and engineers can include it in Linux-based workflows that rely on terminal tools for database interaction. The surrounding workloads commonly involve telemetry, edge devices, and physical AI systems producing continuous, high-resolution measurements. InfluxDB supports capturing, analyzing, and acting on this operational data in real time.

The connected database is built for time-series workloads and can ingest millions of data points per second while keeping storage and compute behavior predictable. It can handle millions of series, use compression for efficient storage, and capture data where it is generated for analysis elsewhere. Cold data can be evicted into lakes, warehouses, and AI/ML pipelines, with Parquet files storing more data in less space.

InfluxData publishes influx as open-source software in the System Tools category. The current release is 2.0.0-beta.16. It requires Linux and snapd, and runs on x86_64 (amd64) architecture.
