just open links in a browser sends links from other Android apps to a regular browser you select, instead of leaving them in an app’s built-in web view. It addresses the inconvenience of small embedded browsers by routing system-delivered links through the browser you already use.

To use it, set the app as your default browser, then open it once and choose one of the browsers installed on the device. After that selection, links handed to Android by other apps are passed to the chosen browser, which can provide its own bookmarks, saved logins, and content blocker. The app itself does not load or display web pages, and its only setting is the browser choice.

This utility suits people who want links from messaging, news, or other apps to open in their full browser experience. It cannot redirect links from apps that draw pages internally instead of handing them to Android, including Facebook and Instagram. It has no network access of its own and includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking.

The current 1.0.1 release is the first release and introduces the default-browser selection flow described above. It is an open-source System Tools app for Android, licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later, with support for Android 6.0 and later on Universal architecture.
