kboard5.0.1

Add a deliberately brief reply with one tap, or keep frequently used text ready for repeated conversations, using kboard on Android. It is an open-source keyboard and input method in the System Tools category, aimed at people who want to end chats with minimal typing or intentionally send terse responses. Its stored phrases also extend its usefulness beyond the minimal “k” response.

Create as many custom keys as needed and switch quickly between kboard and other installed keyboards. A one-click send action submits the current text without a separate press of Enter. Five Material Design color schemes accompany support for custom hashtags, text faces, long names, and saved expressions.

The Commands system uses Vim-like macros so custom keys can edit or insert text and trigger actions such as deletion, copying, clipboard pasting, movement by character or word, letter-case changes, repetition, and sending. These commands can add formatting in WhatsApp, automate copy-and-paste work, prepare GitHub review replies, or insert personalized messages in private conversations.

As an Android Keyboard & IME, kboard works as an alternative input method alongside other keyboards on the device. Version 5.0.1 requires Android 4.4 or newer and uses Universal architecture.
