LPub3D turns a digital brick model into organized LEGO-style building instructions through a visual, WYSIWYG editing workspace. Users arrange model-building steps, pages, and presentation elements while preparing documents from LDraw-based designs.

It can produce instruction documents, individual document pages, parts lists, and exported content. Official and unofficial LDraw part libraries are bundled as ZIP archives, so the libraries do not have to be installed beforehand, while the optional LGEO library supplies photo-realistic part models.

For rendered results, LPub3D includes a native 3D viewer and can generate POV scene files and render POV-Ray PNG images through integrated modules based on LeoCAD and LDView. Its Blender integration uses the LPub3D Blender LDraw Addon to import LDraw models into Blender, export models from Blender, and render them with Blender’s full capabilities. The software suits LDraw designers, LEGO-style model authors, and anyone assembling printable or shareable instructions from digital builds.

Trevor Sandy publishes LPub3D for Linux systems using x86_64 (amd64) architecture, with Linux and snapd required. The current release is v2.4.9.r36, and it is distributed as open-source software under the GNU General Public License version 3.
