LXQt-l10n-snap (unofficial)

Prepare LXQt’s latest language resources for use on a Linux desktop through the LXQt-l10n-snap (unofficial) snap package. It supplies localization files associated with the LXQt desktop environment, helping users access translated interface resources in a snap-based setup. The package is published by Masamichi Ito and is released under an open-source license.

After installation, run /snap/lxqt-l10n-snap/current/setup in a terminal to prepare the environment. Applications can find its configuration resources when XDG_CONFIG_DIRS includes /snap/lxqt-l10n-snap/current/etc/xdg:$XDG_CONFIG_DIRS. Its shared data becomes discoverable in the same way when XDG_DATA_DIRS includes /snap/lxqt-l10n-snap/current/usr/share:$XDG_DATA_DIRS.

This package requires Linux with snapd and is built for x86_64 (amd64) systems; the current version is 20250216.amd64-bd7. It is intended for LXQt users who need the desktop’s language resources arranged through snap, rather than a replacement for the LXQt project itself. Its packaging is maintained separately from upstream LXQt, whose components and development resources are hosted under the lxqt organization on GitHub, and it does not translate PCManFM-Qt or the names of panel plugins.
