Melia

Melia is a commercial desktop email client for Linux in the Communication category. It connects directly to IMAP and SMTP servers, including Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Fastmail, and other standard mail services. It does not use a cloud relay, collect telemetry, or require an account with Melia. Account credentials are stored in the operating system keyring, while messages are synchronized to a local SQLite database.

The client supports OAuth2 for Microsoft accounts and provides an offline-first workflow. Users can read mail, search messages, and queue replies without an active connection. Full-text search covers every configured account and folder. A multi-account sidebar and drag-and-drop folder organization support routine management of several mailboxes.

Melia renders each message with its own dark mode setting and provides contrast auditing. It can neutralize tracking pixels and show warnings for suspicious senders. Messages can be composed with rich text, inline images, attachments, and signatures. Desktop notifications, a dock unread badge, and an EML file viewer cover additional desktop email tasks.

Melia is available for Linux users who want a locally synchronized email application with direct server connections. It is free for one account, while a one-time $10 unlock removes the account limit.
