MinCal Widget keeps the month containing today visible on the device’s home screen, so calendar information is available without opening the calendar app first. Its compact display addresses the need for a quick date reference while preserving access to scheduled events.

The widget uses a resizable 3x2 layout and marks events from the user’s calendars with symbols. When many events fall on a date, it substitutes a generic symbol to prevent the display from becoming crowded. Tapping the top-right corner opens its configuration through the available native widget-settings access, while tapping elsewhere opens the calendar application.

Settings control the first day of the week, theme, symbol set, symbol-set colour, transparency, and text size, with an additional option for showing week numbers. As a System Tools utility, it is designed for people who want calendar details embedded in the home screen rather than confined to a standalone app view. It contains no advertisements or payment features and is released under an open-source license.

MinCal Widget runs on Android 8.0 or later with Universal architecture. Version 2.20.0 raises the target SDK to 37, adds right-to-left support, makes intent parsing and instance querying safer, updates Traditional Chinese translations, and includes technical maintenance.
