Published by Canonical, mir-kiosk is now the predecessor to Ubuntu Frame, which replaces it and is the recommended choice for new deployments. mir-kiosk will be maintained until decommission, but new features will be added only to Ubuntu Frame, so developers are encouraged to migrate.
