miriway

Miriway lets you assemble a configurable graphical shell by combining desktop components already available on a Linux host. It is intended as a foundation for creating a desktop environment, rather than a complete desktop environment with a fixed set of applications and defaults. This approach suits people who want to shape their graphical session around selected components instead of adopting a finished desktop.

The software includes example configuration scripts that provide starting points for LXQt, MATE, Sway, XFCE, and a configuration named alan_g. These scripts are found in the miriway installation directory under example-configs, where they can be adapted to the arrangement being built. The examples are offered on a best-effort basis, since their behavior depends on the degree of Wayland support supplied by the corresponding components on the host system.
