Move to iOS4.0.5

Move to iOS securely transfers content from an Android phone directly to a new iPhone or iPad, helping people change devices without saving their data elsewhere first. During setup, the receiving device creates a private Wi-Fi network and detects the nearby phone running Move to iOS; entering a security code authorizes the transfer. The phones should remain close together and connected to power until the migration is complete.

The app can move apps, calendars, call logs, contacts, camera photos and videos, mail accounts, message history, voice memos, and WhatsApp content into suitable locations on the receiving device. Location access is required to establish the Wi-Fi connection, while access to SMS, photos and videos, notifications, contacts, music and audio, phone information, calendar events, and call logs depends on the categories selected. Migration can continue without granting those optional permissions, which suits upgrades where only certain types of data are being moved.

Apple’s Android freeware is intended for people moving from an Android phone to a new iPhone or iPad. Version 4.0.5 adds faster transfers through USB-C or USB-C-to-Lightning cables, plus connections over Wi-Fi or Personal Hotspot, and shows iOS tips during migration. It also transfers call history and Dual SIM labels, places voice recordings in Voice Memos or Files according to their format, and adds Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu support.
