Nias for AnySoftKeyboard

Nias for AnySoftKeyboard is an open-source language pack for Android. It provides Nias typing support within the AnySoftKeyboard application. It is intended for Android users who write in Nias and need an appropriate keyboard layout and spelling dictionary.

The package includes layouts designed for Nias writing, including the characters ö and ŵ. The ö character is placed to the right of l, while ŵ is placed to the right of p, and a frequently used apostrophe key is placed to the right of ö. A separate layout supports Wiki writing and editing, with commonly used codes available on the top row. Its spelling dictionary contains more than 10,000 words and was built from listed source materials, including an unpublished New Testament translation and additional words from Sura Ni'amoni'ö.

AnySoftKeyboard must be installed before this language pack can be used. After installing both packages, the AnySoftKeyboard app is used to complete setup and select Nias from its keyboard and language settings. This makes the package an add-on for the main keyboard rather than a standalone keyboard application.
