Notepad Next0.15

Notepad Next lets you open, edit, and save plain-text documents and source-code files in a desktop editor. It recreates Notepad++ as a cross-platform text and source-code editor, giving Linux users a familiar style of workspace for notes, configuration files, scripts, and programming projects. Developers can inspect and modify source files, while other users can use it for lightweight writing that does not require a full office suite.

Windows packages are also available as an installer or stand-alone ZIP archive, and macOS is supported through disk-image packages. Community translations are managed through Crowdin, allowing contributors to help expand the available interface languages.

The current development environment uses Qt Creator, CMake project files, Qt 6.5, and the Microsoft Visual C++ compiler; building from source therefore suits people familiar with C++ Qt desktop development. The project describes version 0.13 as stable and usable, while advising users not to depend on it for critically important work.
