ntfy - PUT/POST to your phone1.25.2

Send notifications to your Android phone from scripts or applications by publishing messages with HTTP PUT or POST requests. ntfy - PUT/POST to your phone is an Android client for the ntfy.sh notification service, using an HTTP publish-subscribe model to deliver messages from subscribed topics. A script or program publishes to a topic, and the app receives the resulting notification on the phone.

The simple API works with Bash and PowerShell, including curl on Linux and Invoke-WebRequest. A backup script can report successful completion, announce a failed backup, or alert you when someone logs into a server. It is intended for people monitoring local tasks, servers, and software they operate, providing a phone-based destination for technical and operational updates.

Version 1.25.2 adds a configurable “Alert when connection is lost” option, which is disabled by default. It also handles offline conditions more gracefully by stopping retries during a network outage or airplane mode, keeping its foreground service active with a “Waiting for network” notification, and resuming automatically when connectivity returns. The app runs on Android 8.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices.

The service used is free and open-source, and the Android application is open-source as well.
