pebble1.33.2

pebble lets administrators alter internal daemon configurations by adding or removing layers, allowing service changes to be organized as distinct, stored units. These layers provide the structure pebble uses to track and apply modifications to a service configuration. It stores them under the directory named by the PEBBLE environment variable, specifically in $PEBBLE/layers. When run as a snap, its default PEBBLE location is $HOME/snap/pebble/.

pebble also supports remote service management, operating as a client that communicates with pebble on another Linux system. This lets administrators configure and control services across multiple systems instead of restricting management to the installation hosting the service. The remotely managed daemon therefore does not have to reside on the same Linux installation as the administrative client.

It suits operators working with internal services, especially when layered configuration and administration across separate machines are part of the workflow. Canonical develops pebble as an open-source Linux system tool for managing these service changes.

The current version is v1.33.2 and supports x86_64 (amd64) systems. Linux and snapd are required.
