Polkadot Parachain runs a Polkadot node service on Linux, allowing an operator to participate in a multi-chain framework. It helps separate blockchains interoperate and scale together instead of operating as isolated networks.

On the first installation, an empty --name value uses the system hostname, while --base-path is always fixed at $SNAP_COMMON/polkadot_base and cannot be configured.

The endure setting defaults to false; changing it to true prevents a service restart after a snap refresh, although changing service-args or related settings still restarts the service, making it useful when validator restarts should be avoided.
