Type a query into Quick Search’s single bar to find apps, contacts, files, settings, calendar events, or web results without switching between separate screens. It combines app shortcuts, typo-tolerant smart ranking, contact actions for calling, texting, and messaging, calendar events, notes, files, folders, Android system settings, and Quick Search’s own settings. More than 25 web search engines can be reached through customizable shortcuts, while built-in tools handle calculations, unit conversions, currency rates, world clocks, and date math.

The bar can also provide optional AI answers using your own API key for Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Groq, or compatible APIs; typing @help asks the AI provider about Quick Search itself and requires that key. Users can place the search interface in overlay mode, on the home screen through widgets, in a Quick Settings tile, or as the default launcher, then adjust themes, Material You colors, wallpapers, the bottom search bar, and font size. Settings can be imported or exported, and permissions can be controlled individually.

Version 4.7.1 adds At a Glance items such as contact birthdays, charging status, timers, stopwatch, notifications, low-storage warnings, Do Not Disturb, calls, airplane mode, hotspot, OTPs, Wi-Fi sign-in, weather, flashlight, and custom entries powered by an AI provider API key. It also introduces Notes and Countdown launcher widgets, useful for reminders and time-based tasks.

Searches run on the device, with no ads or analytics; network access is used for enabled web search, AI, or currency-rate features.
