RepoStore lets Android users discover, install, and update apps from GitHub release assets instead of navigating individual GitHub project pages. It presents those releases as a browsable app collection, showing only projects whose releases contain valid APK files and selecting the newest release for each one. A single Install action handles the available assets for each project.

The home screen groups projects into Trending, Recently Updated, and Featured sections. Each detail page shows the project name, version, stars, forks, language statistics, rendered README, formatted release notes, and a screenshot gallery. RepoStore records installed apps, detects available updates, and changes the action to Open when an app is already installed.

The interface supports English, Hindi, Hinglish, and Marathi, with a searchable language-selection dialog, Material 3 styling, dynamic theming, and dark mode. It uses HTTPS-only connections and includes no tracking, analytics, or advertising, while an internet connection is required for its GitHub-based data.

RepoStore 1.0.21 requires Android 8.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. It uses GitHub’s public API to find Android projects and release APKs, with installations obtained from release assets, and is open-source under the MIT license. This release updates the app to Android SDK 36, adds carousel page indicators, and includes build, stability, code, and performance improvements.
