SimpleDay lets you keep a focused diary with one entry for each day, rather than an endless stream of posts or notes. You write entries in Markdown, using formatting, headings, lists, and other supported syntax to capture thoughts, experiences, and memories. A live preview lets you switch between Markdown editing and rendered text, while automatic saving preserves changes as you write.

The minimalist, distraction-free interface is designed for private journaling, and an app lock can restrict access with biometrics such as a fingerprint or Face ID, or with your device PIN. Entries remain on the device and can also be backed up automatically through WebDAV to a cloud server you control, including services such as Nextcloud or ownCloud. On first launch, its smart import feature can bring existing diary entries over from WebDAV.

SimpleDay suits people who want a calm daily writing habit, personal reflections, or a private record of memories without feeds or clutter. It has no account sign-up, and it includes no trackers, advertisements, or analytics; its network communication is limited to the WebDAV server you configure.
