Sobuu lets you record the books you are reading, organize them into shelves, and keep a private reading journal on Android. You can update your current page, resume exactly where you stopped, and track books already saved on your device while offline. Reading statistics show daily page counts in weekly and monthly charts, along with monthly totals in a yearly view; the pages-read panel and reading-streak display can be enabled in Settings.

Create shelves for favourites, future reads, or any theme, then keep a shelf private or publish it for other readers; public shelves require an account. Sobuu also supports comments attached to a page or to a percentage of a book, allowing other readers to reply, while spoiler-marked comments remain concealed until revealed. Page numbering can vary between editions, and sharing comments requires an account and an internet connection.

Search by title, author, or ISBN, browse book suggestions, and explore public shelves when looking for something new. Online catalog searches use an internet connection and ISBNdb, while account synchronization and public shelves use Sobuu’s hosted service. The app suits readers who want personal offline tracking as well as people who occasionally participate in shared discussions, and iOS is described as forthcoming.
