About

Place decorative images directly on the Linux desktop and keep them visible above other open windows with sticker-manager. It provides a floating workspace for arranging visual reminders, artwork, mascots, or other image-based decorations without embedding them in a document or application. Static image files can be displayed as individual stickers, while animated GIFs retain their motion on the desktop. Each sticker can use a custom size, allowing small accents and larger reference images to coexist without being restricted to their original dimensions.

Built with PyQt6, sticker-manager presents its desktop sticker controls through a graphical interface and is described as a cross-platform manager. Its defining behavior is the combination of image support, adjustable sizing, and always-on-top placement rather than ordinary wallpaper display. It is suited to users who want persistent visual notes, decorative characters, animated artwork, or reference material available while working in other windows.

The current release is version 1.0 and runs on Linux with snapd on amd64 architecture. It is distributed as freeware, and its Linux desktop environment is the software context in which the floating stickers are used. The program fits personal desktop customization as well as workspaces where an image must remain visible alongside other applications.

Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: amd64
